The Wi-Fi version of the tablet, which comes in both 16GB and 32GB models, will be available in November. However the Wi-Fi and 3G version will not become available until early next year.
The tablet runs Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) and has a dual-core processor. The screen is medium-sized for a tablet, at 9.4 inches, and has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
Like many tablets, the Tablet S has both a front-facing and rear-facing camera. The rear-facing camera is capable of HD video recording and takes pictures at 5MP. Sony quotes the battery life as being "up to eight hours”.
